• Steven Allender, Steven Allender is professor of population health and director of the Global Obesity Centre, a World Health Organisation-collaborating centre for obesity prevention based at Deakin University. He leads a team of researchers focused on applying innovative approaches from systems science to community based obesity prevention. Prior to this role Allender led the Coronary Heart Disease Statistics group at the University of Oxford and more recently has led national and international research projects dedicated to understanding and intervening in the complex drivers of chronic disease.
