Jana Davidson is Vice-President Medical Affairs & Psychiatrist in Chief, Children’s & Women’s Mental Health Programs, PHSA, an Associate Clinical Professor, Dept of Psychiatry, University of British Columbia and Head of the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at UBC. Jana completed both her medical training and psychiatric residency at the University of British Columbia and her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at BC Children’s Hospital and the Early Psychosis Intervention Program in Melbourne, Australia. In 2001, she received the Postgraduate Teaching Award in Psychiatry and in 2004, she received the University of British Columbia Department of Psychiatry Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award. At present, Dr. Davidson consults to the new provincial Child & Adolescent Mental Health Metabolic Clinic, the Urgent Assessment Clinic at BC Children’s Hospital and the Provincial Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program. Her research interests include the metabolic effects of second generation antipsychotics on children and youth.
